Hello again folks,
How's it going? I hope this newsletter finds you all well. All is great here. I am slowly getting used to life at home again after a crazy six months on the road. In what was originally planned as a 50 date tour ended up being more like a 75 date tour that saw me criss-crossing the country from the start of April right through to September. I was fortunate to play at some amazing venues throughout Ireland on this tour and have made many new friends. I've also opened for some great acts like Ryan Sheridan, Paddy Casey, Jack L, Johnny Fean and a few others. Most importantly though for me is that there are now many copies of my new album 'Life' in new homes all over the globe.
Speaking of the album, I couldn't be happier with how it has been recieved so far. It took a long time to make this record but judging by the feedback I have recieved so far it was well worth the hard work and perserverance. As well as the great feedback from you guys the album was chosen as album of the week by both West Dublin Access Radio and Roddie Cleere on his Irish Music Radio Show on KCLRFM. The single Brand New Day picked up loads of radio play across Ireland, England and further afield and has also been used at two wedding cermonys which is kinda cool.
So as you can see it's been a pretty cool few months and I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has come out to the gig, bought albums and all the other stuff you guys do. I couldn't do it all without all your kind support. Cheers guy's
So what's next?
Well, I'm gonna take a month off in October and reflect on things and see where to go next. I am delighted to say that I have been writing a lot recently for the first time in a few years and I reckon I nearly have another album's worth of material written which is great. Any of the new songs I have played live so far have gone down really well so that's hopefully a good sign. I will probably spend some time working on new material and recording demos in October and maybe do some gigs again in November. Either way I will keep you posted here with any news.
